This Special Project started off as a great kitchen countertop for someone. Now it is a cake stand!

Ever wonder what happens to all the remnants and pieces of natural stone that cannot be used in your countertops?

Emerald Pearl is introducing a new section of our business called Special Projects. This new section allows our artisans to create beautiful objects made from granite, marble, porcelain and other surfaces we use. The majority of these projects will come from recycled materials.

We at Emerald Pearl are dedicated to reducing our carbon footprint. This includes reducing the materials we throw away. Often times after a large slab is cut for a particular space, kitchen, bathroom, fireplace, etc. there are left over materials. These often become remnants that are used for much smaller spaces. However, sometimes there are even smaller pieces that cannot be used as a surface.

This is where our Special Projects come in! Our artisans use their imagination and create all sorts of things such as Lazy Susans, cake stands, coasters, bread bowls, fruit bowls and much more.

Our main artisan Beto Cardona is in charge of creating these special projects. Most recently Beto created a Lazy Susan for a kitchen space. The Lazy Susan was made of the same Blue Explosion Quartzite as the kitchen countertops. This matching set gives the space a unique look.
